Put an end to Junk Mail
It's annoying enough when our email inboxes get spammed, but at least we can virtually delete unwanted messages without impacting the planet. Too bad real junk mail doesn't disintegrate into thin air when we deem it obsolete.
If you're receiving catalogs you no longer peruse, take the time to call the 800 number within and cancel your subscription. There's also a website called Catalog's Choice which helps you end catalog inundation for free.
Direct Marketing Association offers services that will help you do a clean sweep on banishing the junk. This site also informs you how to stop receiving credit card offers.
If junk mail continues to creep into your mailbox after these measures, recycle it, or use it as scrap paper around the house, and then recycle it!
