Catch Some Rays...Literally

I used to love when my mom would put a giant glass jar filled with water and tea bags on the bench in our backyard to make sun tea. I thought it was quite magical as a child how water turned into tea, made by Mr. Sun.

I really get a kick out of the sun jar, pictured above. During the day, it collects the sunlight, so it can illuminate your night after sundown. What an amazing concept to teach our children... that the sunshine may be captured to help light up our lives while saving energy. If you're raising a little night owl like I am, try the moon jar. Same concept, but the lighting is a blue tint.

Go light up the night with the light of your life.
