Collecting Moments & Memories, Not Things

I'd like to direct you to my pal Jahje's blog Baby Jives to revel in her magnificent New Year's resolution to start memory jars for her children, in which she'll collect a sweet memory every day, write it down on paper and tuck it away into each child's special jar to read at year's end.

I think another variation on this simple yet ingenious way to savor the present moment and celebrate your loved ones would be to jot down things you appreciate about your spouse, and read them weekly or monthly to each other.

Here's to a great 2013 filled with glorious memories of both the mundane and magnificent variety!
