Costco knows Green

We always end up spending a giant wad of green... money that is, when we shop at Costco.

But did you know that Costco also knows green of the eco-friendly variety with their Trade-in and Recycle program for your used PCs, LCD monitors, digital cameras, camcorders, game systems and MP3 players?

If you're interested in the trade-in value of some of your equipment, click here for the value estimator. How fabulous that you can get a financial boost on upgrading your equipment, while not having to feel bad about trashing your old electronics. If the value is too low for trade-in, Costco will send you a pre-paid UPS shipping label to recycle your wares instead.

Further, Costco has gone to great lengths to make sure electronics are recycled properly. They state:

Our recycling program employs a zero tolerance landfill policy meaning all of the material that is subject to recycling is disassembled by hand, carefully separated and eventually utilized as components for various raw material extraction processes (including smelting and refining). Shipping for both trade-in and recycle items is free.

What more could we ask for than free shipping, discounts off future buys, and earth-friendly recycling of old products? I am truly impressed, Costco!
