Happy Birthday, Earth-Loving Elmo!

Today is Elmo's birthday! We are pretty indebted to him around our house, as he keeps Olivia beyond entertained while we get a few things done here and there. Elmo's "Love the Earth" video is a real hit in Olivia's opinion, and we love that it teaches her valuable lessons on recycling, reusing, and reducing consumption. It also playfully touches on why we shouldn't litter, and teaches children to love and appreciate nature and respect our earth. Quite a lot to pack in to a kid's show, but as always, Sesame Street hits the ball out of the park when it comes to mixing childhood entertainment and education.
