The Parent's Bible: Healthy Child, Healthy World

If you're a parent, there is no more vital book on the market than Healthy Child, Healthy World. Pick up a copy, and I guarantee you won't be able to put it down until you've read every last word.

In an age of alarmist extremism, Healthy Child, Healthy World uses a more gentle approach, waking us up to the realities of our current toxic environments, encouraging us to change our ways for the safety of our children and all future generations. Even if you don't have children, this book is a veritable toolbox, equipped with information and how-to on cleaning up your home, your diet, your life...

Written by Christopher Gavigan, Executive Director and CEO of the organization, Healthy Child, Healthy World, you'll learn everything you need to know about protecting your family from environmental toxins in these down to earth pages which advise through the eyes and heart of a dad instead of preach with doom and gloom.

Confused at all the talk of which plastics are safe? Wondering how to clean your house without using harsh chemicals? Not sure which fish has the least amount of mercury? Want to know how to "green" your pet care regime? This book should have a pointy star attached to the end of its spine, because it is a virtual magic wand. Wave its words around your life via your actions and your health, your home, your children and the world at large will all benefit.

What I like most about this book, aside from basically everything, is that it is so comprehensive. Gavigan leaves no stone unturned and he backs up his assertions with statistical data and then arms readers with the knowledge and the information required to make changes. I also think it's brilliant that throughout the book there are several "Copy and Carry" pages that allow you to take information such as, "Your Under-Sink Makeover," and "Shopper's Guide to Pesticides in Produce," with you on your excursions.

This is not a one read, start to finish book. It's a resource that will come in handy for all the various tasks and stages that go along with parenthood and homemaking. It should be required reading for all human beings as we enter into a new conscious era of green living.

Pick up your copy today.
