Blown Away by Jackapotamus

When I was a child, one of my favorite things to do was to blow the wispy furs off dandelions before making a wish. This is why when I saw the precious print above, whose petals float across the neckline and onto the back, I was inspired to buy one for Olivia. It turns out my inspiration was enabled by a mother's talent, love for her son, and eco-minded goals.

The "Dandelion" T is just one precious offering in the Jackapotamus line. The brand's creator is 4 1/2 year old Jack's mum, Cassandra. She started making clothing for him and got so many requests for T's and onesies that she started her own line... lucky for us! She makes each item herself and all are printed with low-impact vegetable dyes and solvent free inks that recycle unused ink back into the printing process, so there's less waste. T's are available in unbleached, organic cotton as well as regular, 100% cotton. Also on the horizon are hemp and bamboo options.

There are so many inspirational, unique designs in the line such as the "Dream" T which depicts Martin Luther King, Jr., and the "Surfer Crossing," a cool choice for a budding wave rider.

I love that each item is made with love, care, and eco-friendliness by a mom who cares about her son and the world at large. She is decorating our planet with a brighter future one cute-T at a time.

Jackapotamus is also sold at The Artists' Web at 2806 Main Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404, 310-918-1295.
