Eco-Thanksgiving Tip: 'Green" Your Post-dinner Nap, and Your Little Dog's Too

You know what I am talking about... droopy eyelids, belly bulging over unbuttoned pants, the television lulling you to sleep in the background... you just finished gobbling up Thanksgiving dinner and now all you want to do is curl up and hibernate.

Even the dog is tired. It's hard work licking up all those scraps, after all! Speaking of your beloved pooch, click here to read 5 tips for a turkey safe Thanksgiving for dogs. But back to the subject of snoozing...

Seen above is the Eco Nap an environmentally friendly dog mat. Each extra large sized mat is made from approximately 40 plastic bottles, which are diverted from landfills. Snatch one of these up and watch your doggie make a dozen circles atop it before landing in a comfortable heap.

Don't worry, I'm not leaving you out in the cold! Below is Loyale's Pomeroy throw, made of 100% organic cotton, vegan faux fur. Check out what Abigail at Inhabitots wrote about this luxurious blanket that the entire family will want to cuddle up in. Come to think of it, you may need to get pretty crafty to get first dibs on this, unless you're willing to share. Just looking at this soft blanket makes me tired.

Sweet dreams!

I am surprised at what can be made from our recycling material, it is just amazing, thanks for the info, the girls are cute.

That does look so cuddly!!! I love sewing stuff from my pre-mom body clothes. I make the most fun toys and clothes for my daughter out of that material!
