Sponsored Post: Must-Have Eco-Friendly Kid Gear For Family Holiday Road Trips

Holiday road trips are on the horizon, and having kids means you need to be prepared with the right gear to make your adventure a happy success. In addition to having plenty of games and entertainment lined up to get from point A to point B, read on for my top 5 items I never leave home without when we're about to drive into the great wide open.

  • Snacks, and plenty of them. My favorite snack of choice for road trips are the HAPPYBABY fruit and vegetable squeeze pouches. They're filled with organic fruit and veggie combinations, so you know your kiddos are eating a healthy pick-me-up, which is sometimes hard to accomplish when you're away from home and your normal routine. They're also easy to pack, relatively mess-free and non-perishable.
  • Klean Kanteens. Staying hydrated is key when traveling. So I always make sure I've packed everyone a full Klean Kanteen of their favorite drink, and I take along plenty of extra water to refill it along the way. If you're worried about too many potty pit-stops, tote this potty with you in your car for your little one.
  • CleanWell. As a self-professed germaphobe, I must have hand-santizer, well, on hand at all times. Especially when you're traveling -- and washing your hands with soap and hot water isn't always a viable option.
  • Zoli SUMO Snack Stacker. I know this is another snack-related pick, but snacks can be entertainment in and of themselves, and you can never have too many options. This BPA-free snack stacker holds three of your kid's favorite snacks and keeps them fresh and easily accessible in one tidy package.
  • aden & anais organic muslin swaddles. Even though these are technically swaddles, we use them as blankets in the car. They are big enough to easily cover your child in her carseat and they won't overheat her. If you're traveling with your baby, opt for a Merino kids wool sleep sack to keep baby super cozy and asleep for longer (hopefully!). These sleep sacks even come equipped with a hole through which you can buckle the carseat.
What is your must-have travel gear for your family's road trips?
